The questions
I'm asked the most
Most couples and families ask me the same handful of questions, especially early on. Here are honest answers. If yours isn't covered, just drop me a line.
About
celebrant ceremonies
An independent celebrant is someone trained to write and lead ceremonies for weddings, funerals, namings, vow renewals and anything in between. Unlike a registrar or a religious officiant, a celebrant works with you to create a ceremony that's completely personal. No fixed script, no restrictions on venue or content.
Working
with me
For weddings, couples usually book 12 to 18 months out, sometimes further. For funerals, it's usually 2 to 3 weeks before and I'll do everything I can to be available. For namings, two to six months is comfortable.
Funerals
specifically
Yes. Your funeral director may suggest someone, but the choice is always yours. It costs nothing to ask for a specific celebrant, and it makes a real difference to the ceremony.
Bookings
and fees
Weddings and vow renewals from £850. Funerals from £300. Namings from £450. Full details are on each service page, and there are no surprises.
